Drug Discovery
The Drug Discovery business unit was established to commercialize therapeutic products using the genetic advantages of a founder population. NewLab has two novel therapeutics in development - next generation Peptide-T drugs for a multitude of auto-immune diseases and drugs targeting HLA Cw6, a part of the human genetic sequence thought to cause the chronic disease psoriasis. Both new therapies target immune processes common to multiple prevalent autoimmune diseases and represent billion dollar opportunities.
