Dr. Wayne P. F. Gulliver - Chief Scientific Officer
Dr. Gulliver, the founder of NewLab, is a world renowned Dermatologist who has 19 years
experience in clinical practice; teaching; and clinical and science research. He has been
involved with 200 clinical trials with a principal focus on genetics, psoriasis, wound care
and virology. Dr. Gulliver was one of the key contributors to the discovery of a psoriasis
susceptibility gene, HLA-cW6, and is also credited for other significant findings. He is a
well published author with more than 50 papers and 60 abstracts; a member of the
Editorial Board for the Journal of Cutaneous Medicine and Surgery; and Medical Editor for
The Chronicle of Skin & Allergy, Clinical and Experimental Dermatology, and British
Journal of Dermatology. He is a past member of the Governing Council of Canada’s
National Research Council and past Vice President of the Canadian Dermatology
Association. Dr. Gulliver holds a Bachelor of Science and a Doctor of Medicine and
currently is a professor and Chair of the Discipline of Medicine at Memorial University.
